 To link your Aadhaar card with your PAN card, you can follow the below steps:

  1. Visit the official income tax e-filing website: https://www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/

  2. Click on the “Link Aadhaar” option which is present on the left-hand side of the homepage.

  3. A new page will open where you need to enter your PAN number, Aadhaar number, and your name as per the Aadhaar card.

  4. Next, you need to enter the Captcha code and click on the “Link Aadhaar” button.

  5. If the details entered by you match with the UIDAI database, then the linking process will be successful and you will receive a confirmation message.

  6. In case of any discrepancy in the details, an error message will be displayed and you need to rectify the same before proceeding with the linking process.

Alternatively, you can also link your Aadhaar card with your PAN card through SMS by sending an SMS to either 567678 or 56161. The format for sending the SMS is: UIDPAN<SPACE><12 digit Aadhaar number><SPACE><10 digit PAN number>.
