O'Neil began her career as a stuntwoman in the 1970s and quickly gained a reputation for her fearlessness and skill. She performed stunts in movies such as "Smokey and the Bandit II," "The Blues Brothers," and "Airport '77." In 1976, she set a women's land-speed record by driving a rocket-powered car at a speed of 512 miles per hour.


In addition to her career as a stuntwoman and race car driver, O'Neil was also an advocate for the deaf community. She worked to raise awareness about the challenges faced by deaf individuals and advocated for their rights.


O'Neil passed away in 2018 at the age of 72. She is remembered as a trailblazer who overcame adversity to achieve great things in her career and make a positive impact on the world.
